Happy Spring Equinox

Hello my friend welcome back to my slice of the world! It's almost spring time!!!
How are you feeling?!?! Me I'm great just working and homeschooling like always :) That is also why I am day late and a dollar short... yikes!
Spring is just 5 days away... I love this time of year all the flowers blooming and warm weather is finally coming back! YAY! I can wear flip flops with getting crazy looks LOL.
Hey! Did you know spring cleaning started 3,000 years ago! In Persian culture their spring tradition is called khaaneh tekani! Persias believe this ritual, cleaning clutter and getting organized helps to keep ill- will and bad fortune at bay.
Spring time is the season of renewal! It's time to not only clean and get ride of the winter clutter around our house.. but also a time to clean our body and mind!
So in this season of all that is new and fresh.. let's look at ways you can remove clutter and make room for the new....

Clean out your closet! This is something I need to do.. so I am going to assume you need to as well. Clearing out clothes that you will not wear anymore.. or clothes that too small or too big... makes space for the new clothes you can and will wear. I have a bunch of dresses from my past life when I worked in a office setting... NOW I AM NOT SAYING THROW EVERYTHING OUT!! But be honest with yourself ... think is this something I would wear again? If no you can donate it or if its not in good condition trash it my friend.

Clear the clutter around your home. If you have like me things that aren't where they are supposed to be.. put it away.. but if it doesn't have a home.. and you can't think of a good reason to keep it...donate it or if its not in good condition trash it! Did you know the energy in your home can play on your mental health and vice versa! When I am really stressed or overwhelmed my house shows it :)

Clean out your email mailbox! I use to work as a VA (virtual assistant) People paid me to keep their inbox tidy... my number one rule in mail box cleaning... if you do not know who the person is who sent you an email... unsubscribe... then look up the email address and delete all of mail from that person or company. Second rule of thumb make folders for important things.. I have a folder for each one of my kids. I have a folder for house hold things.. and a folder for cool things I want to get to some day. I worked for a lawyer and he told me never trash any emails... so use that advice as you see fit! Turn on a show or music and start cleaning!!

Strat journaling make it a new habit. Journaling is a self-help tool that is frequently championed by mental health professionals. I journal when I feel stuck or I have a lot on my mind.

Start stretching... I prefer yoga.. but if that isn't your thing cool. But creating a daily stretching habit is a must! You can find free videos on Youtube or download an app... try it for a few days and see how your body responds!

It's getting warm out.. . start walking or running! Getting outside letting the sun kiss your skin. Is so goood for you going outside is great not only for you cardiovascular health but also for your mind!
These ideas will help your mind, body, and soul...
To clean your house, do the right walk... have you heard of that? You start to your right and work your way around the room.. so you do not miss anything... you will end up where you started! I do this going room to room in my house... if I find a jacket I go put it up or take it to the laundry room and then come right back to the spot I left off. In the end it saves time and ensures you will not miss anything.
If you do not like that method trying cleaning one room a day.. we are doing deep cleans here people so that means pulling things away from the way to clean the areas that may be missed from time to time. Make a check list, after you clean one room put a check and move to the next room.
Lastly, as you are cleaning try to play music that sets the atmosphere with positive vibes.. light candle and get to work! Remember to take breaks drink some water and when you're done. sit back and enjoy your fresh clean house!
